Bee Happy with NB
In January, we told you about the successful installation of our new 5-colour
B2 Komori Press and we also told you about the installation of a new 6-colourB2 Komori Press and we also told you about the installation of a new 6-colour B2 Press planned for the beginning of April.
Well - surprise, surprise - due to some hard work by our friends at Komori
and blessed with a fair wind on the high seas, our 6-colour press was fully-installed andoperational at the beginning of March – one month earlier than originally planned.
Additionally, both new presses have been linked to our Reprographics Network,
so, not only does your job go straight from Computer to Plate, using 20-micron
FM Screening, its very own customised Ink Profile (ink duct settings) is downloaded direct to the Presses – now isn’t that clever ?
Well, we think it is, because all the ink ducts on our high-tech presses are now
set accurately and automatically – in accordance with your particular print run –
simply by the press of a couple of buttons. What we didn’t tell you in January is that we have also installed a high-speed continuous-feed MBO B1 Folding
Machine that will deal with virtually any combination of folds and at speeds that have to be seen to be believed.
We also didn’t tell you about our new secret weapon for attacking the print-on-demand market - you know the type of jobs we mean - “I only want 50 copies, but I want them now”.
Well,we’ve installed a brand-new OKI ES3640e Digital Printer that will produce top-quality 4-colour print on both sides of the sheet in one pass. It will accommodate paper weights from 70gsm up to 280gsm in various sizes up
to SRA3. But, best of all, if you bring in your disk, we can do it whilst you wait – and you won’t have to wait very long – honestly !
